Understanding Seasonal Allergies
When your immune system overreacts.
Seasonal allergic rhinitis occurs when your immune system reacts to airborne allergens such as pollen from trees, grasses, weeds, or other environmental triggers.
That immune response can create inflammation throughout the nasal passages and upper airway, contributing to symptoms that may interfere with sleep, exercise, work, travel, and everyday life.
Reduce the inflammatory response contributing to persistent seasonal allergy symptoms.
HYDR8 Recommended Option
Kenalog Injection
Kenalog is a long-acting corticosteroid that works by reducing inflammation and suppressing portions of the immune response responsible for allergy symptoms.
For appropriately selected patients experiencing severe seasonal allergy symptoms that have not responded adequately to more conventional treatment, a clinician may determine that an intramuscular corticosteroid is appropriate.
Kenalog is not a routine first-line allergy treatment and is not appropriate for everyone. Treatment is individualized based on medical history, symptoms, medications, and clinical eligibility.

How It May Help
Targeting the inflammatory response.
Corticosteroids have powerful anti-inflammatory effects that can influence several components of the allergic response.
Reduces Inflammation
Corticosteroids suppress inflammatory activity involved in the body's response to environmental allergens.
May Ease Nasal Symptoms
Reducing inflammation may help lessen congestion, sneezing, nasal irritation, and runny nose associated with allergic rhinitis.
May Reduce Eye Symptoms
Controlling the inflammatory response may help some patients experiencing itchy, irritated, or watery eyes.
Long-Acting Effect
Kenalog is formulated as a depot corticosteroid, allowing its effects to persist longer than many short-acting medications.
Kenalog is a prescription systemic corticosteroid and is not appropriate for every patient. Medical history, current medications, recent infections, previous corticosteroid use, pregnancy status when applicable, and other relevant factors may affect eligibility. Treatment is subject to clinical evaluation and provider approval.
